Effective July 31, 2017, the museum will be closed to allow time to transition the collection to other museums across the country.
The museum thanks all of our patrons for your support over the past 35 years. It has been a pleasure to get to meet so many of you, and share our appreciation of our military heritage.
Just east of I-74, north of State
Road 32 on county road 150 North in Crawfordsville, Indiana, resides
one of the finest collections of U.S. Tactical Military Vehicles
in the country.
This is a place where the harmony
of man, machine, and emotion can be found over a 50 acre site known
as the Ropkey Armor Museum.
Originally located on the northwest
side of Indianapolis, Fred and Lani Ropkey moved their extensive
collection to the rolling countryside of Montgomery County in 2004.
The museum is housed in a large indoor
facility where the music and memorabilia reflect a time when man
and machine served as one.
The museum is a great destination/location
for car clubs, veteranís reunion groups, educational tours, and
other civic organizations.
and visit the Ropkey Armor Museum and experience the emotion of
our military heritage.
